About Jill

As a freelance writer for over 25 years, I have covered parenting, health and wellness (including co-authoring the book Cancer Looks Good on You), fashion, entertainment, and travel. I have interviewed supermodels, celebrities, Broadway composers, top fashion designers, iconic photographers, philanthropists, business moguls, and more.

Before freelancing, I worked as launch Editor-in-Chief of Tango magazine (now yourtango.com). I also spent six years at the helm of Tear Sheet, a modeling and fashion magazine I co-founded at age 26—a venture that grew out of my post-college gig as an international unsupermodel.

In 2022, I ventured into screenwriting and wrote the award-winning short film "Lux Freer," which I produced with Golden-Globe nominee Cynthia Gibb.  In 2023, I wrote "Presumed Incompetent," a short film that is inspired by and stars nonspeaking autistic teen Wynston Browne. "Presumed Incompetent" just had its world premiere at the historic Chinese Theater in Hollywood in the renowned Dances With Films festival. We can't wait to share Wynston's miraculous story with the world. This past winter I wrote, produced, and co-directed my first comedic short, "Jazz Hands & Other Survival Skills"—think Theater Camp meets Waiting for Guffman

When not writing or on set with my actor kids, I bring NY/Hollywood-level training to performing artists at Triple Threat Academy in Westport, CT: Triplethreat.us

I also have advised models and scouted for new faces on my site: modelingmentor.com
